Lots has been said and written in the last months and years about Yogi Bhajan. The interest in not only about his biography, but also about the legacy and teachings he transmitted.

The contingency of a delicate multilayered crisis in the heart of the community since 2020, starting with the recent revelations about his private life, has shaken the ground of a movement by him created in 1969. This movement was born through the cultural and spiritual blending of different historical, philosophical and mystical sources and forces.

In his doctoral thesis (2016), Jivan Mukta addressed the building blocks that constitute the experiential dimension of these teachings and of different individuals in the 3HO movement. Based on that research, this gift class is the first of a few that will shed light on the cultural, philosophical and spiritual heritage that the founder of 3HO drew inspiration, precepts and practices from.

These are times when the dimensions of human experience in touch with pain, sorrow and trauma are coming to the surface. The 3HO movement is not an exception. These experiences have to be seen to evolve as human beings. At the same time the vastness of humanness is rich and complex and peak spiritual experiences also contain keys to understand who we are. This is the complexity in human communities that originated as a new religious movement, like 3HO.
